The "Formal" Living Room | Real Life

Welcome to real life at our house. The other day when I told you I was living with minimal furniture upstairs... Well here's the proof...

Oh hello vacuum. I think you need to collect some of that dust in the next picture...

Oh I lied... there's one... okay two pieces of furniture...

Our over-sized chair and an end table... enough for me to crash on when I get home and wait for the hubby. Oh and that partial wall in the first picture... that's where the fireplace mantel is going... remember? (The Future Mantel) And... that's all I have.

But, picture this... A white couch against the big wall. A leather bench under the window. Wood end tables made by the hubby. Oh and that wall you see... the little one beside the end table... I want the hubby to put a built in shelf/cabinet there... like yesterday's picture of one only not as wide.

Alright... that is it for now. Proof that I am normal like you... I don't keep things that tidy... I have a lack of furniture and I really need to sweep my floors. Oh and let's not forget... this is my second post this week... progress... YAY!

I'm Horrible at This...

I just can't seem to get back into the blogging groove. Err. I have my excuses... but I won't bore you with them. Instead, I'm giving a quick update... we have moved to the basement! YAY! That means more pictures coming very soon! And... an extreme lack of furniture upstairs...

As well, I sold another pair of earrings on Etsy to someone in California... woot! woot! Actually, it was kind of the kick in the butt that I need to get back at things.

Oh... and I'm still debating getting into another business. I can't remember if I shared details before I left or not? But, I'm going to decide not and carry on like it's a secret - you'll have to wait for the news!

Oh... Hey There!

Oh I missed you. I missed life. I'm back home now relaxing after a hectic week in Vegas. This year was a little better with just 70 hours in one week put in. And... today I'm taking it easy.

Tomorrow I'll return to work for a part day - because the carpet is coming!! YAY! Then I can reveal the basement progress again. Oh and get back into my routine of proper blog posts.

But, for today... it's just a quick hi. I'm back, I was in and out of a sleep coma for 24 hours after landing, but now I'm starting to bounce back and get ready to return to normal life.

Yup that's me - M.I.A. And, I expect to be that way for another two weeks. So... while the blog goes to a complete halt, I just wanted to say hey! I am okay. Life is hectic. Work is crazy. I hope you had a good Easter... and see you in two weeks. If I can, I'll be on before then, but I'm not making any promises. I leave for Vegas in a couple of days... and don't get me started on the 2:30 AM wake up call I will be getting to catch my flight. Grr... Okay that is it... See you in a few weeks. And I'll try and bring back some of that nice warm weather with me. :o)
