Happy 100th Post!

What a way to start the week, with my 100th post. I was going to write a post filled with my future jewelery shoppe, when the hubby said... you must do a recap! (I guess someone has been reading my blog posts.) So I thought, ya that's a great idea, a little more work - as we're trying to get out the door after dinner for the night, but I will do it. So here goes, a recap of what I yammered on about for the last 100 posts:

1. My First Blog Post (November 14, 2011) - Looking back now, it's hard to believe that it all started with a short piece about me and a dream to achieve. I'm still working towards it but that reminder of what I was after gives me the "kick in the butt" I've been needing lately to get things rolling again! Just two short posts later (The Start of a New Business), I created my first product - hoping it would one day meet the world of Etsy.

2. For the rest of 2011, I introduced you to the hubby, began my "Favorites Friday" posts and we were starting to house shop once again, with the possibility of building. Who knew we would be where we are now - in another renovation, but still loving every minute of it.

I shared one of our favorite recipes - MMM... No Yeast Cinnamon Buns!

3. In January, I promised my pinning attempt once a week! What was I thinking? Okay, I'm sorry, I have failed at this... but I want to get back at it starting this week, in fact last night I successfully completed a pin attempt... I will have to share later! As well, the start of the year shared lots of interior photos, favorite items of mine and recipes... I was on a roll.

4. Let's not forget, I started to show you the before and after of the cape cod! And, as the hubby nicely reminded me tonight... I still need to finish sharing them!

My epic fail at making yarn covered earrings. (Pin Attempt - Paperclip Earrings)

5. In April, I took on a new logo design for a local photography company - Fine Photos Logo Design.  In my opinion it was a huge success and one of my favorite logos to date! I absolutely loved the challenge and had fun incorporating all of my client's ideas!

And, of course I shared The Best Pizza Dough Recipe Ever!
Which we will be trying shortly with whole wheat flour, so I'll let you know how it goes.

Looking back, I just fell in love with hundreds of items over again - did I ever tell you I am obsessed with interior design and furniture. Other than that, the rest of the season was quite a blur. I took the summer off because of absolute craziness in our lives and nicely just got back on here with you. But, I can say I'm proud that I have been able to stick to it for 100 posts and hopefully there are that and many more ahead. Here's to another 100 posts... and a thanks for sticking it through with me and giving me a reason to follow my dreams... Cheers!

It's "Favorites Friday" | Food and Such

Another "Favorite's Friday"... and since I've been so lazy at blogging this week, I knew I had to get something out to you. The truth is, I'm actually sitting here doing some "emergency" work for the corporate career, waiting for an email to get back to me so I can finish it up. So, I thought what better time to fill the empty pages of my blog... which, did I tell you I have 2050 views on!! Yay! Now if I could get people to write back to me I'd be super excited! Until then, it's a pretty lonely space filled with my babbling... :o)

Okay, one more thing before I cheat my way through a post... because I'm definitely sharing some Pinterest pics... <sorry!> Anyways, I was thinking of selling jewelry. I've done it before at my friend's spa (check it out - The Willow Wheat Spa) and I did well. I would order it in and instead of owning a store, she let me "rent" (free) some space to sell it. It was a way to fulfill my dream of having a store... by like 1%. Anyways I've been thinking for a while and searching the internet for some great pieces and have came across some more I'd like to sell, only this time I'm thinking of selling it online - more like a virtual store. So, what do you think? I will share the pics of them in a blog soon, I promise... and maybe you can let me know what you like / don't like. And hey, what the heck, maybe it will blossom into a beautiful thing... and I can finally work from home!

Okay, enough rambling, here's my favorites for this beautiful friday... which might I add had the quick appearance of snowflakes... Err! Here goes. My five favorite recipes I must try soon on the "food & drink." board, and might I say, I tried to choose the healthy ones:

Buffalo Chicken Rolls (recipe)
can you stay for dinner.
Baked Cheddar-Broccoli Rice Cups (recipe)
daydream kitchen.

Butternut Squash Stuffed Shells (recipe)
proud italian cook.

Sweet Potato Cauliflower Soup (recipe)
manifest vegan.

Triple Chocolate Chunk Muffin (recipe)
healthy is always better.

Let's eat. Of course I couldn't forget dessert... and they're made with apple sauce and greek yogurt... so go nuts! Okay just have one... anyways, everyone have a great weekend out there - try to stay warm.

Happy Monday?

Well, it was a Monday for me. After five days off, it's back to the grind. Ugh! There's nothing worse than reality hitting you smack in the face after a long weekend of family, friends, cooking, relaxing, watching movies... and ignoring all responsibilities whatsoever. But, I did accomplish one thing today - a list of blog posts that must happen soon! I am so bad at getting all of my posts to you that I promise, like the Before and Afters of the Cape Cod. They must be revealed before I can show you any of the renovations at the new house. Oh and might I say, I hope everyone in Canada had a great long weekend...

Anyways, as I recoup from a dose of reality today, here's a few pins that I've been eying up lately, okay they're from my "text." board, but still inspirational and hopefully enough to get my butt back into gear and getting my products on the etsy shoppe before Christmas! Enough babbling, hopefully you can find some inspiration or truth to some of these:

I absolutely love the last one! Live every day with intention. Now, I must go finish reading the rest of my advertising and promotions text book. Only three assignments and an exam away from being finished... and then I may never look at a school course again. Have a great rest of the week and hopefully you had a great Wednesday!

Meet Hank... The Tank.

Just a quick post - as promised, I have taken a few pictures of the new addition to the family. Everyone, meet Hank.

Hank is a purebred English Bulldog, 4 months old and full of wrinkles. His paws are gargantuan and don't let his cuteness fool you, he's the devil in disguise.

Just a puppy, and a light 28 lbs!!!, he is full of snores, grunts and moans. His raspy little bark comes out once in a while and he tends to stick his tongue out when he sleeps. Not to mention, he has the bulldogs greatest gift of being "stinky"...

And of course, he loves to play... and bite. He's just learning what hurts and he's getting better every day. Of course, he still grabs the odd pant leg as it walks by. And, he usually goes into complete craziness for about an hour every night, something the hubby refers to as witching hour in our house now.

This is Hank. He's a character and one that will keep us busy for a while. He's absolutely adorable and although he does the oddest things, like roll in his "potty" after he goes outside (yes that was tonight's reason for a second bath in 24 hours), we wouldn't trade him for the world. Although, we may consider lending him out to volunteering babysitters once in a while! It feels as if we may be up for a wild ride for the next few months. For now, he's snoring away at my feet by the island... so I may just slip away and have some quiet time...

I May Be Obsessed with Ana White

So… the verdict is, new foyer floors! While the hubby was away, I slaved throughout the day! :o)
And I'm sure glad I did - it looks great! Plus, while he put trim up yesterday, I managed to get end tables, lamps and decor up to the main floor. A long with some other furniture… Slowly but surely, things are coming together. Which brings me to today's post… Ana White! Have you heard, seen, attempted? If not, she has an amazing website filled with free plans for furniture. Which, are quickly filling the honey-do list for when the renovations are over! Here are a few of the musts for our new place:

The Perfect Dining Room Table?
Okay so I'm really starting to like our bar style dining room table again, but I also absolutely love this one. I'm thinking we build it and see which one looks better and then sell the one we don't like? Okay I don't know if the hubby would like the idea of that... so tell me what you think. Bar table (Before and After - The Kitchen & Dining Room) or this beauty, the Fancy X Farmhouse Table?

The Most Amazing Console.
So, I brought up a dark mahogany dresser on the weekend and put it at the landing at the top of the stairs. I love it there, but I really love both of these consoles. Maybe I could put one in the dining room with the Fancy X Farmhouse Table... hmm, once I can decide which one I want more (if not both), I will find somewhere for to put it (them), just because I love them! Which one do you think is nicer... or should I aim for both?

Okay, how about another hutch?
Alright, I really can't decide which I love more. Then of course there is Patrick's Jelly Cupboard. It looks like an antique and something I can put all of my "show-offs" in... you know, the stuff you absolutely would love to display but have no where to do it. Again, dining room, landing... or even bedroom. Wouldn't it be perfect full of homemade quilts and linens? Take out the chicken wire, add some glass and this piece is pretty perfect for me - oh, especially if we could make the bottom shelf a drawer instead... I wonder if the hubby could figure that out for me?

Patrick's Jelly Cupboard

Oh the furniture is endless... I've found an amazing coffee table, master bed frame, dressers, and more. The honey-do list keeps growing the longer I search through this website. Don't blame me or tell your honey-doers that I was responsible for sharing. But, be sure to take this Monday evening to explore and pick out those perfect pieces for the home!

Talk Soon!
